FAQ
-
Do you take last-minute walk requests? We pride ourselves on being flexible and do accept last-minute requests, depending on the service you are requesting and our availability. If a full walk isn't possible, one of our team members should be able to stop by your house for a brief relief break or a short private walk, provided we have the capacity.
-
Will you cancel walks if the weather is poor?walk rain or shine (or snow!). In cases of extreme weather, your dog’s walk time may be slightly different than usual due to affected driving conditions. However, road closures and unsafe driving conditions are out of my control. If driving conditions are deemed unsafe, or if temperatures are too high or too cold for your dog's safety, I reserve the right to terminate the service for that day. If walks are not possible due to extreme temperatures, I can provide brief outdoor relief breaks instead.

How do you get access to my home?We prioritize both security and convenience when arranging access to your home. A fob/key and parking are essential for us to perform our services in a timely manner. Here are the options we offer: Key Exchange: During our initial consultation, you can provide us with a key to your home. We will securely label and store the key when not in use to ensure its safety. Lockbox: This can be placed in a secure location outside your home. You provide us with the code, and we access the key as needed. Smart Lock: If you have a smart lock, you can grant us temporary access codes that we can use for the duration of our services. This option allows for easy and secure access without the need for physical keys. Building Concierge: If you live in a building with a concierge or front desk, you can arrange for them to provide us with access based on your authorization. We ensure that all keys, codes, and access details are handled with the utmost confidentiality and care. Your security and peace of mind are our top priorities. If a parking stall isn’t provided or available, and access to the building is not granted, extra charges may apply for the additional time spent locating these.

-
Can I get an exact time for my dog walks? If you need to request a specific time, we will do our best to accommodate it within our scheduling constraints. We require a 3-hour window for appointments. This timeframe allows us to manage various factors, such as inclement weather, drying off dogs after rainy or snowy days, varying travel times between clients, and ensuring each pup receives the affection and care they deserve throughout the trip. Additionally, this window helps us remain flexible to handle any emergencies, seasonal road closures, and construction delays that may arise.
-
Where do you take the dogs for walks? For all walks, whether private or group, we walk the dog(s) in your neighborhood, nearby trails, or parks. All walks take place in either North or West Vancouver. The specific location depends on the dogs scheduled for that day, the starting and ending points of the route, as well as factors such as weather and time of day.
-
My dog is nervous around other dogs; will you be able to walk him?Yes. If your dog is very nervous around other dogs, we can provide solo walks. However, one of the biggest benefits of group dog walking is how much it can improve your dog’s socialization. If your dog is nervous but non-aggressive, we can start with solo walks and gradually introduce them to an appropriate group of friendly dogs, a little at a time. We are often amazed at how quickly dogs gain confidence and settle into group walks with some support from our experienced dog walkers.
-
Can we meet you before committing to walks? We offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation (meet and greets) at your home, with no obligation to hire us. This gives you the opportunity to ensure we are a good fit for your pup.
-
What are the requirements for group walks? We require that all dogs participating in group walks be up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed or neutered if over 1 year of age, free of all parasites (fleas, ticks, mites, worms) and any contagious skin conditions, as well as any other infectious illnesses (kennel cough, giardia, etc.). Please note that if your dog develops any infection or illness, I can continue walking them and switch them to private walks if necessary depending on circumstances.
-
Do you take special requests? We do! Whether it’s walking your dog down the aisle, feeding fish, watering plants, or making sure meds are taken on time, we’re all about the extra touches that go beyond the basics. Just ask—we’re happy to help.
